Well I did this and followed your intructions exactly, when my cream was thick there was no buttermilk at all and when I tipped it into a bowl it just looked like whipped cream and tasted discusting

Where I live a carton of cream that size cost almost four dollars. Much cheaper to buy butter. It's a shame cause I really wanted to make my own.
