Take your time to do your rubato...

Specifically...the allusion to that recitative stuff happens in the Sonetto no. 123 of Liszt. That is what I love about that section of "Les Cloches de Geneve"...and I hoped you love that section too.....

I love almost all of the pieces in the "Annees de Pelerinage--Book I" series. I had mastered L'Orage, La chapelle de William Tell, Vallee d'Obermann, Pastorale. I avoid the Au bord d'une source temporarily--too difficult. I plan to put Au Lac de Wallenstadt and Le Mal du Pays as encore pieces. Another point...in the harp theme in the middle part in the 2nd theme, there a few allusions to Liszt's Sonetto del Pertraca with that r.h. recitative floritura with the l.h. in silence.

Congratulations Maestro Korevaar. There is a tremendous light in your playing. I can't stop listening to your Liebermann's nocturne recordings.
