Pretty weak. Not saying he didn't have a completely profound effect on song writing and music a long time ago, but this is a weak, weak effort. Everyone can fuck up from time to time, and the rest of us who have never created something this misguided also never helped defined music for a few decades, so I'm clicking the "Back" button now.

You're comparing those songs, to a song where he appears with Santa Claus in a music video...What's wrong with him making a Christmas record, not everything he does has to be deep and meaningful: try listening to songs like Not Dark Yet or Mississippi and say that his newer stuff is 'utter shite'
