First and only time I saw Ray Price was in 1953. I was about 13 and Ray was appearing at our football stadium. Also on the show was George Morga, Minnie Pearl, Red Garrett and a few others. Before his set Ray was underneath the bleachers, fly casting. Ray is an avid fisherman. I recall him joking that he had just swallowed the biggest bug I thought that was funny.. I was impressed with his laid back personality.

@mrpete222 I too had the honor of seeing Ray a year or two ago at the American Music Theater in Lancaster, Pa. - what a show he put on...never be another Ray Price! Country music (if you can call it that) today is a joke...steel guitar has been replaced by drums? BTW - Hiram says hello brother.
