those 3 idiots on that metal show were labeling Invaders as a weak opener for such a iconic album, I disagree, it's a song about fighting, death,and pillaging, classic heavy metal lyrical content! one of my faves from Iron Maiden, liked it when the album first came out, still fucking love it now! \m/

I'd like to thank Iron Maiden for making this song. When I was 14 at the start of the 90's I was completely stuck on my English homework to write a poem... in desperation I submitted the lyrics to this song minus the choruses, and prayed that my teacher wasn't an Iron Maiden fan.
She wasn't! I got away with it and these timeless lyrics received the grade "Good descriptive poem, Stuart." :)
